After spending many years in the funeral profession and monument industry, Hershel Adkins had the privilege of serving thousands of families during some of life’s most difficult moments. Time and time again, he witnessed the same need. While funeral services beautifully honored a loved one’s life, the personal eulogy and life story were often heard only once and then became a memory.
He also recognized another missing piece. Families would return to the cemetery to visit a monument that represented a life well lived, yet the stories, laughter, personality, and voice of their loved one could no longer be experienced.
That realization inspired the creation of FlashBack, a patented memorial innovation that provides a lasting way to preserve and replay a loved one’s eulogy, life story, or personal message.
During the funeral service, FlashBack is elegantly displayed on a handcrafted wooden stand beside the register book, allowing family and friends to hear the life story as they gather to celebrate a life. Following the service, FlashBack is presented to the family as a treasured keepsake. It can then be attached to the cemetery monument, where future generations can simply press a button and hear those cherished memories once again, or it can be placed in one of our handcrafted wooden urns to be displayed in the home.
